Welcome to Sam Cox Angling

Since I was a lad angling has been the foundation of my life. My father ran a charter boat, he also started a fishing tackle business, so angling fed me, gave me purpose, it very quickly set my direction in life. From a very young age I was helping other anglers catch fish, whether it was on my dad’s boat or my school mates at the village pond, seeing them experience the pleasure of catching fish gave me pleasure. It is this same experience that I now want to share with you.​

 

My Credentials​

 

I have over 45 years angling and boating experience helping others catch fish.I stated my angling career around the same time that uptide & boat casting was being started, my father was instrumental in the development of this revolutionary style of fishing. He also developed tackle including the first real uptide fishing rods. I was around throughout this period, so by osmosis learnt not to be afraid to think outside the box, and to experiment with different methods and locations. I was also taught an appreciation of nature, this not only adds great value and satisfaction to ones fishing, it’s also the very basis of good water craft and fish location.
